SriLankan Airlines celebrates first anniversary of service to Seychelles |04 November 2017

 

SriLankan Airlines, Sri Lanka’s award winning national carrier, yesterday (November 3) celebrated the first anniversary of the launch of its services to the Seychelles, connecting the exotic Indian Ocean island nation to its global route network via Colombo.

The airline carried out a series of events in Seychelles to celebrate, including an awareness campaign on radio and in newspapers. Two return air tickets to Colombo were presented by SriLankan to the delighted winner of a radio quiz in connection to SriLankan’s anniversary of operations.

SriLankan operates four flights per week between Colombo and Mahé, the main island in the Seychelles. Travellers enjoy the convenience of choice of the four-hour flights that operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday on Airbus A320 aircraft, connecting them onwards on non-stop flights to SriLankan’s many destinations across the Indian Ocean, including the Middle East, South Asia, the Far East and Australia.

With its tropical climate and picturesque coral islands located 1,600 km from the east coast of Africa, the Seychelles possesses a vibrant tourism industry that is well served by SriLankan.
