Blasters to form own association |14 November 2017

Blasters in the country have agreed to form their own association so as to better defend their rights and protect their interest.

This came about following a meeting that this group of self-employed workers had with the Seychelles Federation of Workers Unions (SFWU) on Saturday at the Maison du Peuple.

The meeting was organised to discuss the difficulties those workers were facing in regards to their work as Blasters.

A communiqué from the SFWU says that the meeting concluded with some very important proposals and recommendations to improve the working conditions of the Blasters.

The Blasters representatives who were also elected at the meeting are expected to discuss those concerns with the office of the Vice-President and later with the leader of the opposition.

The association will be working closely with the SFWU to better achieve its objectives.
