New STC board to meet finance minister |17 November 2017

The new board of directors of the Seychelles Trading Company (STC) will be meeting theMinister for Finance, Trade and Economic Planning, Dr Peter Larose, today.

It is the first time that the new board meets the minister.

The meeting is at the request of the board as part of the imperative to align on key policy direction for the company and to help in the drafting of a strategic plan.

Among issues to be discussed, are: 1) STC’s operation in general, 2)involvement of STC in bulk buying with Mauritius, 3) bonded warehouse, 4) commodity prices on Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, 5) Auditor’s Report.

The meeting will also be attended by senior officers from STC and the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Economic Planning.
