Defence forces to assist police during festive period |04 December 2017

Following a request from Police Commissioner Kishnan Labonté, President Danny Faure, acting in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces (SPDF), has given instructions for the defence forces to assist the Seychelles Police Force in enhancing the level of security across the country during the festive period.

This will be undertaken through such measures as joint patrols, and collaboration in the maintenance of security.

The President's action is in accordance with Article 163 (1)(d) of the Constitution.
