The Maison Football was the host of a presentation yesterday, showcasing the different football strategies that may help Seychelles in the future in terms of football events.

The coaches met at the Maison Football yesterday whereby they were presented with different tactics that would help Seychelles’ football teams exceed their potential. The main presenter is Fédération internationale de football association (Fifa) instructor Fritz Schmid from Switzerland, who is sharing his experience and knowledge of football to the coaches.

“I’ve been a part of Fifa for over 30 years and I’ve coached at different institutes throughout the years,” said Mr Schmid.

As a way of hopefully making the coaches more aware, yesterday’s strategy meeting wasn’t the last as the coaches are due to meet for five more days in the hope of finding ways to make their teams successful.

Getting the coaches to advance to the highest level of capability is the federation’s main objective.

Guests present at the ceremony included Youth, Sports and Culture Minister Mitcy Larue, sports special advisor Jean Larue, National Sports Council chief executive Giovanna Rousseau, and Jonathan Paul, executive member of the SFF.

Since the world of football is changing in Seychelles today, ways of keeping up with different tactics and improving on the weak points are a big factor. With such an experienced member of the football world present, this gives the coaches a great insight on how to develop their team both physically and mentally. Giving players the knowledge on how to play the game properly will not only lead teams to success, but also there will be lots of competition which may lead to Seychelles football becoming more renown.

This presentation will benefit teams tremendously as it will allow all stakeholders involved to be more aware of their teams’ capability. Especially with finance being a key factor in football, sponsors would be more confident to invest knowing that teams are more reliable in their competitions. This may be the beginning of a new and improved future for Seychelles’ football.
