President Faure to travel to UAE |15 December 2017

President Danny Faure will be on holiday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over the weekend.

He will leave the country this afternoon and will be back in office on Monday December 18, 2017.

As Vice-President Vincent Meriton will also be absent during this period, and in accordance with Article 56 and Article 75 (4) of the Constitution, Designated Minister Macsuzy Mondon will hold the portfolios falling under the President and the Vice-President, and will also discharge any function that the President or the Vice-President is required to discharge under the Constitution, during their absence from the Republic.
