HSI donates to Foyer de la Providence |22 December 2017

H. Savy Insurance (HSI) has donated gifts and housing supplies to the Foyer de la Providence (Ste Elizabeth Convent).

Having adopted the Ste Elizabeth Convent for about five years now, HSI occasionally donates to the convent and the donation yesterday falls within that context.

Present at the ceremony yesterday were senior insurance executive Chrissy Hoareau, human resource manager Georgette Gendron, other HSI employees,  Sister Sylvette of Ste Elizabeth Convent and the children.

During the short ceremony, the children were presented with their Christmas gifts after Mrs Gendron had presented a gift basket to Sister Sylvette.

The children also performed two songs, one being ‘Sa Kart Nwel’ which was beautifully interpreted.

“HSI adopted the convent a few years back and ever since, we provide them with the things they need,” Mrs Hoareau said.

“We donate because it is from our heart. It’s always good to give to people who are a little less fortunate than others in the society,” she said.

Mrs Hoareau said the donations will continue and it is always their pleasure to put a smile on the faces of the children at the convent.

“It is such a good initiative that HSI does for us and it shows that no one forgets the children at the convent,” said Sister Sylvette.

“We’re very happy that there are people who think of us from time to time and for that we are very thankful,” said one of the children happily.
