Letter to the Editor - Peace and strategic correlation |23 January 2018

Strategic correlation is an important element to core negotiation and communication between the three arms of the government as peace is a vital ingredient to core unity among the people.

People of Seychelles; in the past time was endurance, but now endurance is time! We are running out of time because we are bound for the end times, for the time is near.

People of Seychelles; time is essence and should bring us to realise that the end is near. Yet, how many of us take heed of ‘The Revelation’ as we jump the hurdles of reality onto ‘judgment day’? How many of us open our eyes to the WORDS?

Breaking bread for peace & tactical relationship initiatives are increasingly being recognised as successful means to open up peace dialogues as a result of our increasingly strategic correlation. In building up the ‘New Seychelles’, we urge on the need for more dialogues between the arms of the government and the people. We need to enhance UNITY among our leaders and the people in moving forward as ONE NATION under this divine sky towards our common future. UNITY is an important element to core prosperity of a Nation while peace is a vital ingredient to core strategic development. Exchange of ideas, information, feedbacks, integrated strategic decision makings and other aspects of strategic correlation within our government and our peoples are fundamental in order to foster mutual understandings and moving this beautiful country forward in light of positive and real change. The purpose of strategic correlation between the government and the people is for the people to be at the centre of all our developments in our inclusive strategic development plans. The government has got to develop an understanding of the nation's ideals and dreams in an effort to build broad support for economic and political goals. In essence "the voice of the people reveals the soul of a nation" which will in turn create influence and prosperity for the whole nation.

In this modern Seychelles, we need to structure a fundamental story of individuals having a more personal and frequent contact with our government and its actions. The people of Seychelles are foreseeing more people-centered developments in the fields of education, health, public housings, poverty alleviation, zero tolerance to corruption, eradication of drugs, availability of pure and clean water, better sanitation systems, renewable energy, solar energy implementations, a modern police and military structure, better standards of living, enhance economic growth; amongs others.

The people of Seychelles also anticipate our local government to down-size and endure resource orientations, not to dramatically reduce services but to strategically reduce the impacted yearly government budget. Although the constraints of dwindling budgets and financial limitations will remain a challenge, by partnering with our community to create simple, more human-centered solutions; opening strategic correlation with the public to enhance transparency; focusing on innovative problem-solving approaches like design thinking; and embracing technology as a way to speed service delivery, we shall be formulating the new approach for the relationship between governments and people, and reinvigorating democracy in the process. There couldn’t be a more exciting time to be in government when the strategic correlation is well established!!!

I will raise my hands to the man who comes in peace, unity and sincerely work with ethical practices and behaviour for the betterment of my people. We need to continue writing the script where ‘Seychelles comes before self’ and ‘the voice of the people’ is paramount and at the centre of our inclusive developments for all. There is an ongoing practice to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor of Seychelles tactically remove all our people from the ‘poverty basket’, as ‘poverty in Seychelles’ should not be a chapter in our History. Gone are the days when a man will come in power to enrich himself but leaves his people behind in deficiency of what is his worth. We need to stand proud as Seychellois and promote Seychelles everywhere we may be destined, be it for pleasure or business purposes.

Remember what Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 20: 25-28 (NIV): 25 “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 - Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27- and whoever wants to be first must be your slave — 28- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

For this purpose as the ‘National Unity Advocate’, I stand to acknowledge: HE LEADS – I SERVE!

The farther backward you can look - the further forward you can see. In this New Year and as the ‘National Unity Advocate’, I foresee more leading changes as we move ahead in this historical ‘Cohabitation period’ and lest we leave any of our brothers behind. I extend my hands to our leaders who continue to fight for the people in our ‘New Seychelles’ and listen to ‘the Voice of the People’, before they implement any strategic development which will affect our country and people.

Last but not least, I continue to plea with the government of the day to pave better political platforms for individual candidates, to respect the integrity and opinion of the people as we move ahead to the new, free and fair election in Seychelles. ‘Chapeau’ to the people of Seychelles who continue to voice out in a diplomatic way to express their concerns, ideas, recommendations, suggestions and comments in regards to the affairs of our government. I continue to pray for every Seychellois, for the betterment of Seychelles and for prosperity of our small Nation in this beloved small Island state.

“When you are able to shift your inner awareness to how you can serve others, and when you make this the central focus of your life, you will then be in a position to know true miracles in your progress toward prosperity.”Wayne W. Dyer
