Prison inmate dies in hospital |24 January 2018

A prisoner passed away during the evening hours of Sunday January 21, 2018, while in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Seychelles Hospital.

A communiqué from the Seychelles Prison Service says that Steve Jeffrey Khan had been admitted for medical care weeks ago to address his failing health.

The communiqué adds that the Seychelles Prison Service, as required, has formally notified the Seychelles Police of this sad event.

Meanwhile the Seychelles Prison Service has extended its sincere sympathy to the family of Mr Khan.

Mr Khan was admitted to prison on a five-year sentence on September 17, 2015 for one count of breaking and entering into building and one count of stealing.
