Seychelles-Mauritius exchange to improve ease of doing business |24 January 2018

A delegation from several investment related departments and agencies are on a working visit in Mauritius.

The capacity building and knowledge exchange visit forms part of efforts to improve the overall ease of doing business in Seychelles.

Mauritius continues to be one of the most competitive economies in Africa, with the highest ranking for ease of doing business.

The visit will allow representatives from the relevant local agencies to hold high level interactions and share best practices on how to better facilitate investment process, employment permits and registration of businesses and companies in the country.

The Seychelles delegation is headed by the chief executive of the Seychelles Investment Board, Cindy Vidot.

Other members of the delegation include the principal secretary for Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Roger Toussaint; principal secretary for Employment, Jules Baker; chief executive of the Small Enterprise Promotion Agency (Senpa), Penny Belmont and the deputy Registrar General, Fred Hoareau.

The exchange will run until January 27.
