Former footballer Gentley Uranie passes away |30 January 2018

Former footballer Gentley, Anacley Uranie passed away on Sunday.

Hailing from La Digue, Uranie made a name for himself playing for Bel Air and Plaisance during the regionalistion era in the 1980s.

Born on January 15, 1962, he was reputed for scoring some important goals for the Plaisance team.

The 56-year-old will be laid to rest on Thursday February 1, 2018.

Uranie leaves behind his mother, seven sisters, two brothers, wife, two sons and two daughters.

Meanwhile, Sports NATION has also learned that former referee Hansel Melanie has also passed away.
