Plaisance students sensitised on work ethics |23 March 2018

Students of the Plaisance secondary school are being sensitised on work ethics aimed at determining factors in how they do in school and in life and later move on into the world of work.

This exercise is being jointly organised by the department of employment and the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) as part of the productivity week whereby several sessions have been organised for secondary students on good work morals.

Yesterday morning a group of S5 students from Plaisance school attended a session on work ethics conducted by SNYC counsellor Beryl Dodin which was aimed at enhancing their awareness of the code of conduct and attitude prior to employment.

Miss Dodin said that this session gave the students an opportunity to know about good work ethics in society and also further their knowledge on good values, discipline and productivity in the workplace.

“Before leaving secondary education, the students must first have to master the importance of good work ethics in the society as a strong work ethic is vital for a school or company to achieve its goals,” Miss Dodin said.

She added that every student, employee must have a good work ethic to keep their institution functioning at its peak as work ethics is a set of moral principles each individual should have.

Similar sessions are being held at Mont Fleuri, Perseverance, Beau Vallon and English River.
