ANB communique - Malagasy arrested in possession of 1kg of heroin |23 April 2018

Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) in collaboration with immigration and custom officers have arrested a 47-year-old Malagasy man suspected of drug trafficking.

The man, who was arrested upon his arrival at the Seychelles International Airport on the evening of April 20, 2018, was travelling from Madagascar on board an Air Seychelles flight to Seychelles.

He had in his possession approximately 1 kilogramme of suspected heroin.

He will appear before the Magistrate Court today while the ANB furthers its investigation in this case.
