ANB communiqué - Two persons arrested for cultivation of drugs |30 June 2018
Two persons – a 48-year-old male farmer and a 28-year-old unemployed woman both of Pointe Au Sel – have been arrested for the offence of cultivation of a controlled drug.
Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) arrested the two during an operation conducted at their premises on Tuesday this week.
Ninety-three (93) green plants were uprooted and seized by the ANB officers at the man’s premises and 18 green plants together with approximately 2.36 grammes of herbal materials at the woman’s premises, all suspected to be cannabis.
They were both brought to the ANB station for procedural formalities with a case registered against them for the courts.
They were later released.
