Judiciary refutes allegations of monies misappropriation |06 July 2018

The Judiciary is aware of an article published in Seychelles Weekly dated July 6, 2018, but available to the public on July 4, and refutes the allegations that any public monies have been misappropriated.

In a press communiqué from the Judiciary, the Registrar of the Supreme Court  confirms that all funds dispersed from the budget are accounted for and are paid in compliance with the national policies on the use of public money and are subject to the national audit by the Auditor General.

“As such the insinuation of corruption in the Judiciary is false and misleading and the newspaper in question has been requested to withdraw the statements,” the communiqué states.
