Al Salam delegation calls on finance minister |14 July 2018

Members of the board of directors, the chief executive (CEO) and the vice-chairperson of Al Salam bank paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning, Maurice Loustau-Lalanne, earlier this week.

The delegation comprised Ahmed Saif, board director, Mr Alhur, also a board director, Asim Kumar, the CEO of Al Salam Bank in Seychelles and Lekha Nair, the vice-chair of the bank.

The aim of the courtesy call was to discuss possible areas of cooperation and assistance. During the meeting other issues were also discussed, namely, overview of Al Salam’s operation in Seychelles, tourism and fisheries.

Minister Loustau-Lalanne is expected to visit the bank next week, and both parties agreed that more discussions will follow.

Al Salam Bank has assisted the Development Bank of Seychelles and the Seychelles Petroleum Company in the past.

The bank’s headquarters is in Bahrain and Al Salam was previously known as BMI.

The board of directors arrived in the country on Monday July 2 and left on Wednesday this week.
