CPC minister calls on President Faure |14 July 2018

 

 

 

Song Tao, the Minister for the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) yesterday paid a courtesy call on President Danny Faure at State House.

Other than his ministerial delegation, Mr Song was accompanied at yesterday’s visit by the Chinese ambassador to Seychelles Yu Jinsong.

Other than exchanging views on the party-to-party relations, other issues discussed yesterday were the promotion of the friendly relations between the two countries and also the commitment to expand cooperation in various areas.

Mr Song said, as a friend to Seychelles, China is sincerely happy about the economic growth that the country has achieved, as well as the improvement in the living condition of its people.

He added that the good tradition of friendship between the two countries is in line with the fundamental interests of the two sides.

“It is important to step up exchanges and extend the tradition of friendship, as much as the pragmatic cooperation in a number of areas, so as to boost the growth of the state-to-state relations, in order to benefit the people of both countries,” he added.

During his stay, Mr Song and his delegation met and discussed with members of the Parti Lepep Central Committee and Executive Committee members from both Mahé and the inner islands.

Mr Song and his delegation comprising deputy director general Wang Heming, directors Liang Anping and Zheng Junlu, first secretary Qi Wei and second secretary Dong Zhenyu leave the country today.
