ANB Communiqué - Three men remanded for drug offence |21 July 2018

The Magistrate Court has ordered the further remand of three Ile Perseverance residents in connection with approximately 80 grammes of suspected heroin which was seized at their home.

The three suspects who appeared before the Magistrate court on Thursday comprised a 46-year-old bus driver, a 39-year-old home-carer and an 18-year-old casual worker.

They were all arrested on Monday July 16 by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) within the Police Department for the offence of trafficking in a controlled drug and conspiracy to commit the offence of trafficking in a controlled drug. They first appeared before the Magistrate Court the following day, Tuesday July 17 when they were all remanded for two days.

All three suspects will reappear before the court on July 23, 2018.
