National Sports Council gets new CEO |21 July 2018
President Danny Faure has announced the appointment of Jean Larue as the new chief executive (CEO) of the National Sports Council (NSC).
Mr Larue, whose appointment takes effect on August 1, 2018, holds a Masters Degree in Sports Science, as well as a Diploma in Management.
He has over 35 years' experience in the field of sports development, education and promotion.
He has held key positions in sports management, having served as Commissioner for the Indian Ocean Island Games held in Seychelles in 1993.
He has been responsible at the level of director general for Sports Policy, Strategic Planning and Analysis since 2003, and has served as the Special Advisor for Sports since November 2017.
Mr Larue will replace the current CEO of the NSC, Giovanna Rousseau, who will be taking up another post in government.
