Stakeholders in tourism interact with ministers, hear presentation on business-related matters |23 July 2018

Stakeholders in the tourism sector came together in another multi-sectorial meeting on Friday to discuss issues, challenges affecting their business, interact with relevant ministers and heads of concerned agencies as well as receive feedbacks on different matters raised during the previous meeting.

The meeting was led by the Minister for Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine Didier Dogley.

The Minister for Employment, Immigration and Civil Status Myriam Télémaque and the Minister for Environment, Energy and Climate Change Wallace Cosgrow were also in attendance to answer questions and clarify issues raised.

Through three presentations stakeholders learned more on renewable energy and how it can be used to reduce cost of utilities for businesses and the right procedures to follow to access these products.

It was also an opportunity for them to seek as much information on renewable energy products.

The Seychelles Ports Authority presented its plans to improve facilities at the inter-island quays and other future projects.

It also gave details and clarified issues related to fees.

A presentation on the different mooring locations gave stakeholders a better understanding of the exact demarcation points at which to moor their vessels.

Stakeholders also received feedbacks and were apprised of progress made on matters raised during the previous meeting.
