Nine Seychellois get Indian scholarships |03 August 2018
Nine Seychellois will be furthering their careers at several Indian institutes of learning after they had been granted scholarships from the Indian government. All expenses on the training, including international airfare, accommodation and living allowance are borne by the government of India
Below are small briefs of what and where they will be studying along with their photos, courtesy of the Indian high commission in Victoria.
Christianne Marie and Betyna Jean-Baptiste from the Office of the Auditor will follow training on ‘Financial and Regulatory Audit’ from August 13 - 31, 2018 at the International Centre for Information Systems & Audit, an institution under the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, at New Delhi.
Jacqueline Simeon (photo) and Marinette Esparon, officials from the Seychelles Election Commission, will undergo training in ‘Capacity Development on Voter Registration’ from August 5 - 10, 2018 at the Indian Election Commission’s institution, India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management, New Delhi.
Alexandria Faure and Gina Come (photo) from the Seychelles National Assembly secretariat will attend the 34th Parliamentary Internship Programme being conducted by the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training, an institution under the Indian Parliament, from August 2 – 31, 2018. The course is sponsored under the government of India’s Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC).
Jeff Philoe and Daniel Camille, officials from the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), will follow training in ‘Management Development Programme on PLC and Industrial Automation’ from August 6, 2018 to September 14, 2018 at the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, New Delhi.
Alex Alcindor, also from the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), will follow training on ‘Project Management for Public Works’ from August 20 to September 7, 2018 at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
