Doctor Nelly Marie got gold mention |03 August 2018

Doctor Nelly Marie got gold mention (Titulo de oro) at the end of her seven-year studies in Cuba.

We publish her photo in today’s issue as the one which accompanied the article entitled ‘RahimLespoir named best student as five Seychellois medical doctors graduate in Cuba’ was not her.

Our apologies to Dr Marie for the unfortunate mishap.

Other than Dr Marie, Dr Isha Barreau also got gold mention and they both studied in the city of Ciego de Avila.

As for Doctor Rahim Lespoir, he came out the best of the medical faculty of the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina (ELAM) or American School of Medicine (LASM), which is a major international medical school in Cuba and a prominent part of the Cuban healthcare system. The university is based in Guantánamo.

Two medical students – Dr Ingrid Barbé and Dr Brigitte Lepathy – have also graduated.
