Regatta lottery tickets on sale |04 August 2018

The sale of tickets for this year’s Regatta lottery has officially started.

The launch ceremony was held yesterday at the new PMC showroom at Providence.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Regatta lottery.

The star prize of this year’s lottery is a Hyundai Creta followed by 15 other prizes, ranging from cash prizes to accommodation vouchers.

Present during the launch ceremony was last year’s winner Lindy Barallon who won the star prize of a Suzuki Vitara in the Regatta lottery.

Darrel Benoit, the president of Round Table Seychelles, the event’s organiser, stated that this will be the fifth year that PMC collaborates with Round Table Seychelles for the star prize and expressed his gratitude for the sponsorship.

“Proceeds from this year’s Regatta will go towards continuing our project which we started last year, and that was the first phase of the renovation of the School for the Exceptional Child where disabled children attend classes. The work we did last year was focused strongly on major civil works, tiling and flooring of the school. This year we will focus mainly on its roofing, interior and soft works and also venture into special educational tools that the disabled students may need,” Mr Benoit said.

Thanking other sponsors for their support, he announced the immediate sales of the Regatta lottery tickets.

The tickets are currently available at various selling outlets such as Market Street, Orion Mall and STC Hypermarket.

The ticket price, which has stayed the same for many years, is R10.

A member of the Regatta organisers Rudy Vielle stressed on the much needed support by the public to generate high ticket sales.

“As you may know from our phase one project last year, our aim is to help the School for the Exceptional Child, so I urge the public to buy a ticket and help support our cause,” stated Mr Vielle.

The launch concluded with representatives from Amazon Betting Miguel Desir and Lucy Chetty who announced their new registration process which comes together with the Regatta lottery ticket, where participants will have a chance to win between six different prizes.  Participants can access www.amazonbeting.com for more information.

The draw for the 2018 Regatta lottery will be held at Beau Vallon on September 30 at 7pm
