Designated Minister visits police academy, Nepalese housing quarters, Glacis station |09 August 2018

Designated Minister Macsuzy Mondon visited the Seychelles Police Academy, the housing quarters for the Nepalese police and prison officers at Bois de Rose and the Glacis police station last Tuesday.

Her visit started at the Seychelles Police Academy in Pointe Larue where she was welcomed by its commandant, chief superintendent Robert Bibi.

The designated minister was then given a tour of the academy whereby she had the chance to meet the recruits and the instructors to discuss their studies, their concerns and the way forward.

Then, Mrs Mondon had the opportunity to visit the Nepalese housing quarters at Bois de Rose and the Glacis police station. She discussed the proposal for renovation work at the housing quarters and the reconstruction of the Glacis police station.

The designated minister has commended the police officers for their hard work and devotion and has called on them to continue to serve members of the public and the community.

Present and accompanying Designated Minister Mondon for the visit was Police Commissioner Kishnan Labonte, special advisor Sheryl Vangadasamy, deputy commissioner of police for visible policing and specialised operation Romano Songor, deputy commissioner of police for investigation and personnel development Ted Barbe, and the director general for human resources and administration Angele Lebon.
