Allan Julie tightens grip on the lead

• Dominique Labrosse closes in on leaders

Veteran sailor Allan Julie has taken one big step closer to winning the Laser Standard group, while Dominique Labrosse has closed in on the leaders in the Laser 4.7 group at the ongoing Indian Ocean Cup in Reunion.

On day four of the regatta on Tuesday, Julie won all his four races to maintain his lead in the two-man battle over Mauritian Kevin Seebaluck.

In the Laser 4.7 class, Dominique Labrosse came out first in two races, before clinching two runner-up spots in the third and fourth races, moving him further up the standings.

David Madeleine, who is competing in the Laser Radial group, could only manage a fifth, a third and two fourth-place finishes on Tuesday.

Competing in the Laser 4.7 class, Samantha Labrosse was in action on Tuesday and she managed two fourth-place and two fifth-place finishes.

The regatta which will go until August 11 is being hosted by the Base Nautique des Mascareignes.
