Three silver medals for Katsia Télémaque
Local weightlifter Katsia Télémaque was on the second step of the medals podium on Sunday after finishing second in the -53kg at the ongoing African Senior Championships at the Pointe-Jérôme Youth Center in Mahebourg, Mauritius.
Télémaque accumulated an Olympic total of 115kg after snatching 50kg and lifting 65kg in the clean & jerk to finish second behind Mauritian Roilya Ranaivosoa who was untouchable in the category.
Ranaivosoa snatched 80kg before lifting 100kg in the clean & jerk for an overall total of 180kg.
Lehohla Mapolinyane of Lesotho was third in the group with an Olympic total of 78kg. She snatched 38kg and lifted 40kg in the clean & jerk.
