New parking times and fees help ease traffic flow |02 August 2013

There was less traffic congestion in town yesterday, said Road Transport Commissioner Patrick André.

This is as a result of the new parking times and fees in different parking lots in Victoria.

Mr André told Seychelles Nation that there was an easier flow of traffic in town yesterday morning.
He added that this is a bonus as it ensures more parking availability at any time and reduces traffic congestion in the Victoria area.

Mr André noted that some motorists have said that the hourly, half-day and full day fees are too high and have rushed to buy monthly coupons at R250 which are more affordable, have multi-use and are less of a hassle to use.  

The Seychelles Land Transport Agency (SLTA) ran out of stock of the monthly coupons and was to replenish its stock by yesterday afternoon.
