UAE XCHANGE donates to Ste Elizabeth orphanage |09 August 2013

The Ste Elizabeth orphanage yesterday received a donation of foodstuffs from the stock exchange company UAE XCHANGE Ltd.

The donation which comprises a stock of rice, milk, juice, fruits, cornflakes and biscuits was presented to one of the orphanage’s superiors Sister Aimée by the head of operations and business development of UAE XCHANGE, Bhavesh Goswami.

Mr Goswami said that the donation is part of an initiative undertaken by their mother company in the United Arab Emirates in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Program, whereby they donate food, medicine and medical equipment to schools and orphanages in thirty different African countries.

He also announced that his company will be donating to orphanages in the country on a monthly and rotation basis.

On behalf of the orphanage, Sister Aimée was thankful to UAE XCHANGE for the kind gesture. She said that the donation will be of great help to children interned at her institution, as food weighs heavily on their monthly budget.

She called on other organisations to come forward and follow the good example of kindness and generosity shown by UAE XCHANGE.
