VP Faure at SADC summit |17 August 2013

Vice-President Danny Faure is representing the Head of State, President James Michel, at the 33rd Southern African Development Community (SADC) Heads of State and Government Summit due to take place from August 17-18 in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The summit will deliberate on a wide range of regional issues including a report on regional economic integration and the appointment of a new leadership for the SADC secretariat.

At the summit, the Head of State of Malawi, President Joyce Banda, will take over the rotating presidency of SADC from President Armando Guebuza of Mozambique.

The Vice-President is heading the Seychelles delegation comprising the Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean-Paul Adam, the Minister for Natural Resources Peter Sinon and other high government officials.
