After having stayed perfect in five games for a maximum 15 points, Premium Netters, under the captaincy of Christine Alcindor, seat comfortably in the driver's seat of the Mohan Shopping Centre-sponsored division one league table.

Premium Netters, comprising mostly employees of State Assurance Corporation of Seychelles (Sacos), are followed in second place by Dynamite, who have managed to win three of their five matches played for 11 points.

Dynamite, who won the division two league championship last year and received automatic promotion to ply their trade in the top flight, have for captain tireless goal shooter Rita Padayachy, a former player of 2002 champs Youngsters.

With eight points, Youngsters find themselves in third position after two wins, two losses and a draw, while Evergreens are fourth with two points less. Evergreens have won only two matches and lost the other three.

As for Red Eagles, they are a place from bottom with three points after only one win, while Scorpions, who remain winless after having taken to the court five times, are carrying the weight of the six-team league table.

Like Premium Netters, HOH Netters, under the leadership of Lorna Leopold, have remained unbeaten after the first round. But compared to the defending first division champions, they have drawn one and won the remaining four of their five matches for 14 points.

Tryers are hot on their heels with 12 points after four wins and a loss, while Challengers are third with a point less (11).

Weight  Watchers are in fourth place with six points, three more than fifth-placed Ventures.

Grand Anse Mahe-based GAM Flyers, the only team not to have tasted victory in five matches, are in sixth and last position.
