Tree-planting day promotes harmony

The tree planting exercise at Roche Copra

It was organised by the Revenue Commission with support from the Department of Environment, which provided tools and donated 27 native bonnen kare saplings.

The planting session, on May 9 at a place well known for its Bazar Ovan, also served to promote social harmony and the value of collaboration in the workplace and, most importantly, throughout Seychelles.

The Revenue Commission said in a statement it is essential that we all contribute towards protecting our unique natural environment to preserve its beauty today and for future generations.

Tourism is indeed the pillar of our economy, and by putting our hands together as partners we are ensuring our environment will remain for our Seychellois people and for the world to enjoy, it said.
