Handball-Unsportsmanlike behaviour halts league encounter |26 May 2009

This is the opinion shared by many sports fans after an incident that stopped last Saturday’s handball match between AC Brothers and PLS Hurricanes.

Referees Jason Fred and Alix Dufrene had to halt the match early in the second half after players from both sides were involved in a dispute.

At the time of the incident, PLS Hurricanes were leading 22-21.
According to a member of the Seychelles Handball Federation’s (SHF) disciplinary committee, the incident is being taken seriously, and those involved will be dealt with accordingly. He said the SHF is still waiting for the referees’ report before any decision is taken.

Meanwhile, in a women’s match scheduled for last Saturday, Arsu walked over Trinity, who failed to field a complete team. Only four Trinity players turned up.
