The record breakers were Samuel Rossi (boys’ 7-9 category 50m breaststroke with 1:00.16 and his old best was 1:00.40), Katie North (girls’ 7-9 category 50m breaststroke with 56.80 seconds and the old best of 59.02 belonged to Emily Barnes), Hayden Ah-Wan (boys’ 7-9 category 100m butterfly with 2:15.15 and the old best of 2:22.73 belonged to his twin brother Lenel; and 200m backstroke with 4:24.97 and his old best was 4:34.99), Martina Chionni (girls’ 7-9 category 200m backstroke with 4:17.90 and her old best was 4:32.99), Luke Bonnelame (boys’ 10-11 category 50m breaststroke with 53.11 seconds and his old best was 54.49 seconds; 100m butterfly with 1:58.76 and his old best was 2:05.70), Maria Marzocchi (girls’ 10-11 category 50m breaststroke with 47.50 seconds and her old best was 47.70 seconds), Anisha Payet (girls’ 10-11 category 100m butterfly with 1:42.58 and her old best was 1:43.79; and 200m backstroke with 3:29.40 and her old best was 3:37.23), Adam Viktora (boys 12-13 category 50m breaststroke with 40.90 seconds and his old best was 41.42 seconds; 100m butterfly with 1:16.29 and his old best was 1:48.93), Clara Omath (girls’ 12-13 category 50m breaststroke with 43.89 seconds and her old best was 45.33 seconds), Aurelie Fanchette (girls’ 12-13 category 100m butterfly with 1:35.22 and her old best was 1:37.94; and 200m backstroke with 3:20.73 and her old best was 3:21.86).

All those who swam below the old best times got an extra two points.
Hayden has consolidated first place in the boys’ 7-9 category overall standings with 344 points. His twin brother Lenel remains second with 266 points, while Samuel Rossi is third with 250.

Martina Ceccato leads the girls’ 7-9 category with 328 points. Second and third are Nicole Gresselli Barnes (2576 points) and Sascha Flynn (234).

Luke Bonnelame continues his domination of the boys’ 10-11 division with 314 points. Malik Govinden has moved a step up to second position with 247 points, while Adam Moncherry, who did not compete, has dropped to third with 246.

Girls’ 10-11 category leader Anisha Payet boasts a 10-point lead (344) over runner-up Magdalena Kment Flynn (334), while Felicity Passon is third with 254.

Unbeaten in 18 races, Adam Viktora sits comfortably at the top of the boys’ 12-13 category standings with 368 points – 86 more than second-placed Ashen Tennege’s total of 282. Third is Dean Hoffman with 278 points.

Girls’ 12-13 category leader with 366 points, Aurelie Fanchette has increased her lead from 66 to 72 points over Clara Omath (294) and Melissa Jeanne stays third with 228 points.

In the boys’ 14 years and over category, overall runner-up Ryan Govinden got his first two wins of the series in the 100m butterfly (1:15.26) and 200m backstroke (2:56.78) to bring his tally to 286 points to close the gap from 44 to 15 points on leader Shane Mangroo (301 points). Dwayne Didon is third with 268 points.

Shrone Austin stays top in the girls’ 14 years and over category with 344 points, her sister Shannon is second with 340, while Amina Ward-Horner, who did not compete last Friday, is third  with 196.

Competitors get points, starting with 20 points for first place, 18 for second, 16 for third, 14 for fourth, 12 for fifth, 10 for sixth, nine for seventh, eight for eighth, seven for ninth, six for 10th, five for 11th, four for 12th, three for 13th, two for 14th and one for 15th and any other finish.

At the end of the eight series, the points will be added up and the top-three finishers in each age category will receive prizes. There will also be prizes for the female and male swimmers who have most points overall.
The final two rounds of the series are on June 19 and 26.
