In the Laser category, Hansel Esther, who sails a radial boat, is yet to get a victory but he leads the standings with 13 points after three second-place finishes, one third position and two fourth places.

Absent for the fifth and sixth races after winning the first four in his standard boat, Rodney Govinden is second with 15 points.

His twin brother Roy Govinden dominated the last two races last weekend after missing the first four. He is ranked sixth with 35 points.

The highest-ranked female Laser sailor is 2007 All-Africa Games gold medallist Meggy Gertrude, who boasts 21 points and is fourth overall.

In the Optimist category, Ryan De Sylva is the sailor to beat as he leads the 12-boat fleet. After getting two third places and a runner-up position in the first three races, he has won the last three.

Ryan Domingue won races two and three, while Aubrey Sophola triumphed in the first race.
De Sylva and Domingue are locked on eight points, six less than third-placed Sophola.
