Southern Region Youth Track and Field Championships-Four off to Pretoria today |12 June 2009

The athletes are female sprinter Joanne Low-Toy, male sprinters Yannick Ernesta and Carlos Marianne, and shot putter Ronny Bristol.

All three sprinters will line up in the starting blocks of the 100m and 200m races inside the LC de Villiers Stadium of the University of Pretoria.

They will be accompanied by coach Giovanni Fanny and are expected back on Sunday.
The four local athletes are expected to challenge for medal honours with the cream of southern Africa’s young athletics talent on view.
