10th All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique – September 3-18-The situation is getting better, says Volcère

Mr Volcère talking to the Seychelles media in MaputoHe was speaking to Sports Nation following complaints by members of the Seychelles delegation regarding logistics and communication at the Games’ Village and sports venues.

Among the many problems encountered were no detailed competition programme and improper arrangement for food delivery at the venues during the day.

Mr Volcère also explained that there has been a great improvement at the village’s canteen compared to the first two days when Seychellois athletes and officials had difficulties to get food on many occasions.

He added that the organising committee is working hard to remedy the ongoing problems.

Mr Volcère, who is also the National Sports Council chief executive, noted that Team Seychelles’ chef de mission Robert Auguste is doing a good job sorting out various issues which have been affecting the athletes.

He added that despite the setbacks, Team Seychelles remain focused and the athletes are ready to give their best.
