Football: Barclays league division one-LightStars inflict more misery on Anse Reunion |22 September 2011

Andrew Jean gave LightStars the lead, but Ahmed Adrienne equalised for La Digue-based Anse Reunion who also lost their last fixture on a 0-2 score to Northern Dynamo at Stad Linite.

Rennick Esther restored LightStars’ lead before going for the breather.

Mario Ravo put the issue beyond doubt with LightStars’ third goal in the second half.

The wins has helped LightStars leapfrog Anse Reunion on the goal scored rule into third position on the 10-team standings with 20 points after five wins, five draws and two defeats in 12 games. LightStars have scored 29 goals and conceded 27, while Anse Reunion, who also have 20 points and are in fourth place, have found the back of their opponents’ net 22 times and leaked in 20 goals.

Although they have six wins to their name, Anse Reunion have conceded four defeats and two draws.

Defending champions St Michel continue leading the charge with 29 points after nine wins and two draws in 11 games.
