President Michel congratulates newly elected President of Zambia |24 September 2011

“On the occasion of your election as the President of Zambia, the government and people of Seychelles join me in expressing to you, to the government and to the people of Zambia, our warmest and most sincere congratulations.”

In addition to congratulating the newly elected President, Mr Michel spoke of the excellent cooperation and collaboration between Seychelles and Zambia, and reiterated the commitment of the Seychelles government to strengthening the good relations between the two countries.

Seychelles established diplomatic relations with Zambia in 1998. Both countries are members of SADC (Southern African Development Community) and Comesa (Common Market for East and Southern Africa).
