Headed by Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) chief executive Alain St Ange, the Seychelles delegation comprises Sharen Venus, STB’s senior marketing executive, and Kim Bin Nam, STB's regional manager based in South Korea.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for Seychelles’ tourism officials to network with other partners and stakeholders in the tourism industry and to keep up with the latest development in the tourism field.
It will also be an occasion to reinforce Seychelles’ cooperation and collaboration with partners and explore other areas of collaboration or assistance which the UNWTO can offer.

The general assembly is the supreme organ of the UNWTO which ?meets every two years to approve the organisation’s budget and programme of work, and to debate ?topics of vital importance to the tourism sector.

During the meeting, the assembly will elect members of executive council, among other things. The executive council has 30 members, half of which are elected every two years by the general assembly. The executive council is the governing board of the organisation which ensures that the organisation carries its work and adheres to its budget.
