Football: Barclays league division one-Côte d’Or extend win run |11 October 2011

They registered their latest win – a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Anse Reunion – when they travelled to La Digue on Sunday.

Home team Anse Reunion drew first blood through Malagasy Jean Del’Or Tsaralaza in the 18th minute, but their celebration was short-lived as Côte d’Or’s Malagasy connection did the trick for them.

Valentin Mazinot pulled the visitors level in the 21st minute and Patrick Ramsamimanana secured all three points for coach Asman Abdou’s Côte d’Or with the winner in the 82nd minute.

The win has pushed Côte d’Or into second place on the 10-team standings with 27 points from eight wins and three draws in 15 games.

They have played a match more than leaders and defending champions St Michel who have 33 points, while La Passe have retrograded into third position with 25 points from seven wins and three draws in 13 games for 25 points.
