IMF executive director visits Seychelles |15 October 2011

This visit will also be Mr Legg’s first visit to Seychelles since he took up the post of executive director in late November 2010.

In addition to Seychelles, Mr Legg represents a large and diverse constituency comprising Australia, Kiribati, Korea, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan and Vanuatu.

Before joining the executive board of the IMF in 2008, Mr Legg held senior positions in the Australian Treasury, including as: acting executive director (International) of Treasury’s Macroeconomic Group; general manager of Financial System Division; and general manager of Foreign Investment Policy Division and executive member of Australia’s Foreign Investment Review Board. He was also an alternate executive director of the World Bank between 1995 and 1999.
