Football: Barclays league division one-Yelvanny Rose’s hat-trick propels La Passe into second position |15 October 2011

La Passe survived a scare in the 13th minute as their reserve goalkeeper Dave Mussard raced out to collect a long ball but he stepped out of his box as he denied Dynamo’s Elvis Julius a golden chance. Referee Nelson Emile was quick to spot the danger and booked Mussard and awarded a free-kick which Northern Dynamo wasted.

A minute later at the other hand with the La Passe camp still annoyed with the official, they had more reason this time to feel hard done as Steve Henriette tripped Achille Henriette, but the referee only gave them a corner. Justice was done though as Henriette floated the corner to Yelvanny Rose who rose majestically to power a header into the net for a 1-0 lead.

In the 21st minute, La Passe stretched their advantage from a free-kick. Henriette rolled the ball into the path of Yelvanny Rose whose blistering low drive went in via the post with goalie Jules Monnaie rooted to his spot for a 2-0 scoreline.

Malagasy Valerie scored La Passe’s third goal in the 86th minute after Henriette picked him out with a glorious cross-field pass and the finish was equally smart. He rifled home a thunderous shot which found refuge in the net for a 3-0 lead.

Two minutes later, La Passe put the icing on the cake as the irresistible Henriette curled a beautiful cross which Yelvanny Rose met with a thunderous glancing header which flew in the net to complete his hat-trick and a 4-0 win.
