Over 13,000 exercise books for primary and secondary schools |19 October 2011

The consignment was shipped to Land Marine Limited and Mr Ling asked the company to choose an institution in Seychelles to hand over this donation.

The Land Marine Limited chose to give this consignment of 13,000 exercise books to the Education Department.

Nigel Pillay, representative of Land Marine Limited presented the donation to the principal secretary for education Merida Delcy in a short ceremony held recently at the department’s store.

Mr Pillay said he hopes the donation will benefit all schools and that the students put these materials to good use.

Mrs Delcy thanked the companies for their contribution which she said will be of great help to all schools.

She added that this donation has come at an opportune time when the department is promoting partnership within the education system.
