Seychelles and Sri Lanka sign double taxation accord |07 November 2011

The agreement was signed in Colombo by the commissioner general of Sri Lanka, K.M.S. Kandegedara and Jennifer Morel from the Seychelles Revenue Commission.

DTA communications between Sri Lanka and Seychelles were initiated in May 2008 by Seychelles authorities and acknowledged in July 2008 by Sri Lanka.

Both parties agreed to have the first round of negotiation in Seychelles in the week of December 15-19, 2008 whereby agreement was reached on all articles.

The agreement was initialed on December 19, 2008.
The signing of this agreement will bring Seychelles’ DTA network to a total of 17 once ratified by both parties.
