This week in the national assembly-Assembly to consider four motions |22 November 2011

The questions will be addressing issues relating to road projects in the Plaisance district, and the collection of old metals, sewage facilities, the condition of secondary roads and electricity tariffs for homes and businesses on La Digue.

The National Assembly will also consider four motions – two of which will be tabled by the leader of Government Business, Honorable Marie-Louise Potter. The first motion seeks the approval of the Assembly for the appointment of Waven William as Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Seychelles.

The second motion calls on the Assembly to endorse the International Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance for the Prevention Investigation and Repression of Customs Offences which was approved in Nairobi on June 9, 1977.

The other two Motions, proposing for the establishment of two Assembly’s committees, namely a committee for women parliamentarian and a committee for government assurances, will be tabled by Honorable Mitcy Larue and Honorable Marc Volcère, respectively.
