Basketball-Anse Etoile and Drifters in play-off clash |25 November 2011

Anse Etoile finished second on 21 points – two behind champions Juniors – after collecting nine wins and three defeats out of 12 matches. As for Drifters, they ended the league campaign in the ninth spot with 20 points from only two wins and 16 losses in their first year among the elite

Meanwhile, the Seychelles Basketball Federation (SBF) has announced that as from next season, there will be only nine teams in the men’s league division one.

In a press communiqué, the SBF has explained that Razors, who finished last in the first division league this season, will be automatically demoted, while Juniors will remain in the second division. The winners between Anse Etoile and Drifters will join PLS Hawks, Premium Cobras, MBU Rockers, Baya, Mont Fleuri Dawgz, Cascade Bullets, Angels and RC Dynamics in the top league.

The play-off matches between Drifters and Anse Etoile will take place tomorrow at 3.30pm, on Monday at 5.15pm and on Wednesday at 5.15pm. All matches will be played at Victoria Gymnasium.
