Foyer residents get gifts from IDC

The hand-over ceremony

Present at the hand-over ceremony was the manager for imports and distribution at the IDC Anand Kumar, public relations and communications manager Thelma Pool, store supervisor Nathalie Edmond, sisters of Charity and residents of the foyer.

Ms Pool said since residents of the Missionary of Charity were among the first the IDC brought to visit Silhouette, they thought it would be a nice gesture during the festive season to help the home out with whatever they might need.

“We asked the sisters what the residents need and we were told soaps, disinfectants for bathrooms and kitchen and foodstuffs like milk, juices and biscuits,” she said.

Ms Pool said the gesture is part of “IDC’s corporate social responsibility to give back to the community”.
