Easier way to succeed in 2012 |07 January 2012

The amazing thing about success is that we all, whether white or black, educated or illiterate, free or bond, have equal opportunities to either succeed or fail in life.  But why do we all not succeed?

True and lasting success is rooted in God; and His Word, the Bible, is the compass that points out the way.  God gives success and grace to enjoy it as well.

That is why a truly successful person is not only successful in the works of his hand, but also in his family, health, mentality, etc.

True success guarantees all-round rest and security; it makes rich and adds no sorrow.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.  Proverbs 10:22
Also success is in levels -- to a student, success is to pass exam, to a business man success is making maximum profit, to a pilot success is arriving to the planned destination, and to a fisherman success is filling his boat with fish.  Success is not a native of any country, but a product of conscious and active work.

In this New Year God has given to you another three hundred and sixty five days; these are open cheques, you are the one to determine how much to achieve on each given day.  Let us discuss a few points that will help you succeed this year.

-Have a plan
Someone without a plan is a purposeless person. Your plan defines your goal and without a goal you will never score one.  Your success is not in view without your plan, and the size of your plan determines the height of your success.  What is a plan?  This can be defined in simple terms as a picture you hold in your mind that dictates your commitment and the steps you take in making your plan to come to pass.

Success begins with a plan and every great success is a product of a great plan.  Every success begins with a plan, therefore plan is the first ladder in the journey of success.  Before you begin to search for success, make sure you are holding a plan in your hands.

Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.  Proverbs 24:27

- Plan the plan

Bishop David Oyedepo says; praying without planning is playing without knowing.  The time taken to plan your plan is not time wasted but time invested.  Your sitting down today, determines the height of your rising up tomorrow.  This year, don’t just have a good plan, but also ensure you make a serious plan for it.

- Be committed to your plan

You cannot have news and not make moves, you cannot make moves without creating waves, and you cannot have waves without making news.  Your commitment is measured by the moves you make, a very great plan without commitment in it lead only to great frustration.

You don’t need to be talented as much as you need to be committed.  It is your commitment that makes your plan to succeed when other people’s plans are failing.

-Plan to work

To succeed is not a matter of luck but a matter or work.  Your work determines your worth in life, without work you have no address.  God is only committed to blessing the work of your hands.

Work can be defined as a mean through which God uses to meet your needs.  Someone also said, dirty hands make rich, dirty hands are working hands.  When you dodge hard work you sign in for a hard life.

Hard work never kills, it is hard life that kills.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
 Luke 14:28

-Plan your time

Time cannot be stored, time cannot be stopped and time cannot be stretched.  Time is the ultimate raw material for success, and time is the only commodity that God has given to everyone equally, a rich man has 24 hours a day, and a poor man has 24 hours a day also.

When you waste time you waste life, and when you invest time you begin to live a successful life.
Time is the most precious commodity in life.

This year make sure you have short-term plans and long-term plans.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Ephesians 5:15-16

-Plan your money

If you can plan enough what you have is enough,  there is no big money or small money in life, big money without a plan for it ends up in zero, but small money that is planned well ends up in millions.

There was this fact that someone gave one day; he said, if a president of a nation says that he wants to make everyone in that nation a millionaire, and therefore he gives to everyone one million, the person said, after six months, the money will go back to the pockets it came from.

The people who can plan the money will create avenues to collect the money from those who cannot plan it but can only spend it.  To plan money is to invest money.  Money invested will multiply but money spend will finish.
This year, plan to invest your money and plan to spend less.

For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.  Ecclesiastes 7:12

-Avoid excuses

Excuses is a weak man’s language, they are like suites tailored to fit every one that makes it, that’s why brother A’s reason for not getting a job is different from sister B’s.  Nothing disqualifies you in the race of success like excuses; every excuse you make becomes a road block on your road to success.

Excuse is the reason you give not to be expected to perform your dully duties.

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

-When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?  The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.  John 5:5-7

-Have no one to blame

You are not a failure until you have someone to blame and every time you have someone to blame you make yourself lame.  The time and strength you are using to blame others is the same you should be using to make the things work that you think are not working.

If there is someone to blame for where you are today, then that person is yourself,  because no one can stop you from succeeding in what you are doing but you.

This year turn every blame to flame and fire yourself to the mountain of success.
