Man gets life for murdering own mother |23 March 2012

Mrs Basset, 77, was reported missing on February 8 last year and her body was found the following day after which experts said she had been dead for 72 hours.

It took members of the jury less than three hours to find Justin Basset guilty of murder.
Judge Duncan Gaswaga led the court proceedings in this case. The prosecutor was David Esparon and the defence lawyer Nichol Gabriel.
