Air Seychelles staff start training in Abu Dhabi |11 April 2012

The cabin crew are taking part in a 25-day specially designed training programme, which will run until May 7 and focus on the A330–200 aircraft. The programme is based on the flying experience of the Air Seychelles crew and will cover safety, aviation health, security and service training, said our national carrier in a communiqué.

Three more groups will also start their training in April and May with the aim of having 70 crew members fully trained by the end of June.

Air Seychelles’ chief executive Cramer Ball, said: “This is a great opportunity for our crew and pilots to experience and gain first-hand knowledge of Etihad Airways’ outstanding services. This programme is designed to familiarise them with Etihad’s various processes and procedures onboard this two class aircraft.”

Vye Sinon, one of the Air Seychelles crew members taking part in the programme, said: “Though I have been a crew member for the past 25 years I have found the programme highly informative and challenging. This has been a great opportunity and I would like to thank Etihad Airways for making us feel very welcome.”

Pilots are also undergoing intensive training which includes ground and practical training and line flying under supervision.
